This is, in my mind, an ideal Little Legs route as it is entirely on quiet roads, the length is very do-able and most importantly, the cake stop half-way is superb.

In fact, when I was doing this with my child, a father was doing exactly the same (but in the opposite direction) with his two youngsters, who I would guess were about 6 and 8. So it’s a well-honed kids route!
