The Little Legs route starts and ends at Nettlebed. Why? Because any Little Legs route starting and ending in Henley would likely involve traffic and a gigantic hill.
In my experience, if you are cycling with people who are more interested in free-wheeling than actually cycling (and possibly singing whilst they do so), never attempt a hill right at the beginning if you can avoid it. If you do, you will likely have a full scale mutiny on your hands.
Anyway, designed to start and end with food and nothing too challenging in-between its ideal for a family bike ride, or even a (long-ish) dog walk if you can’t be bothered to strap the bikes to the car.
Furthermore, the ride has some good variety with paths through woodland, a very friendly ginger horse (who always seems to be hanging out in his field. Doesn’t he have work to do?) and a great stretch of smooth farm road at the end. Aside from having to cross one major road (EVERYONE to do this on foot) you should see little traffic.
