This is an exceptionally pretty ride along old Cotswold lanes and through picture perfect villages. The first half of the ride gives you sweeping views across the Evenlode Valley, the second half across the Windrush.

With hills that aren’t too bad (actually there is one that is a sweat-school but other than that they’re all totally do-able) it is an easy ride for a spring or autumn day.

Leave plenty of time to stop and take pictures because trust me – you’re going to want to.

Top tip – as Stow & Bourton can be busy over midday I find that riding in early morning or late afternoon is best. Equally, if you stay away from the busier summer months, but ride in spring or autumn it will be quieter still.
